How to generate a Service Model Design document

To generate a design document that describes all services defined in the model as well as the general serivce architecture used by the system, you need to do the following. - Open the Properties tab of the Service Model Design generator in the Documentation folder.
- Set the Output Path parameter to the file name and path where you would like your design document to be output.
- If needed, set the Document Template parameter to point to the MS Word document template that should be used for the generation of the document. If you need to customize the existing template for your specific project, then you can copy it to your project location, update this parameter to point to the new path and customize the template as described below.
- Set additional parameters to customize any properties of the generated document as needed.
- Customize the style of the generated document in the MS Word template as needed.
- Customize the contents of the generated document in the MS Word template as needed.
- Run the generator and open the generated file.
- Select all by pressing Ctrl+A, and hit F9 to refresh all the fields including the Table of Contents.
- Save the document and review it to make sure that everything is correct.
- If any changes are required, update the model or the MS Word template as needed and rerun the generator.
