How long is long enough to compile the application?

Versions:

XOmega for Visual Studio Pro 2015
XOmega for Visual Studio Pro 2013
XOmega for Visual Studio Pro 2010

Following the steps indicated in your documentation seems to work to a point.
Regardless of what MS VS IDE we use, this never compiles and renders the VS Versions above useless until the computer is restarted.

It is a great concept but hardly ready for primetime.
To date the only CodeGen tool that has past our testing is CodeCharge.
We expected more from this.

Feedback welcome....

Thanks for your feedback. We would be happy to troubleshoot the issues you are having, and it would help us if you could provide some more information on which steps were successful and which failed for you.

Are you saying that you were able to install the product, create a new project, import the model from a database, and generate the application code, but the generated code does not compile?

Also, do you mean that you were able to do any of the steps after the installation only after you restart your computer? The plugin installation may not register properly if the visual studio is running during installation, so a visual studio restart is typically needed in such case.

I will reinstall. VS 2013 was not running at the time however, with Windows being Windows, I did have it open prior to installing the product.

We went through all of the steps for the WPF Application example but I did not use the AdventureWorks database, we wanted to test this using our own choice of database.

The only other issue is it really did not matter which version of the VS IDE we used. Whenever we did a final compile we ended up with the same result. The computer had to be rebooted.

Give us a day or so, we will try this again.

XOmega plug-in for VS 2015 V6.7.* is working perfectly.
I am off to the races.
